Melissa earned a Bachelor of Arts in biological sciences from Southern Illinois University in 1995 and is the Director of Environmental Health for the Marion County Health Department. In 1999 she received her Licensed Environmental Health Practitioner license through the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation. She married Christopher, an art teacher at Salem Elementary School, on June 17, 1995 and had a child, Ethan, on September 26, 1999. Her plans for the next 5 years include buying her first home. |
