Information Age and its’ Crisis
Once an America expert said, twenty first century is an information age. Indeed, the forces of the information marketplace will greatly shape tomorrow’s society, which will not only bring us much more benefits and convenience, but pursue us in the new century. That’s to say, its’ negative effect has shown powerful destruction in many aspects.
As we know, information marketplace accelerates the process of economic globalization. Which, on the contrary, also increase the crisis of economy developments. Such as online crimes, hacker cases and so on, all of which have cost a great loss and greatly threatened and will still threaten any aspect of worldwide economy.
Have you heard Dolly, a clone of a sheep? She is out of the bottle and would never go back in. Since arrival of the cloning technology, people have shown great concern to its’ negative effect. Most of people argued that human cloning would violate the human nature and the shared moral norms, which will shape a completely different society in which nobody will know Who Will Be.
We also can’t ignore the effect of online culture on children. Computer culture, especially the game culture, has fostered a new computer generation who was totally immersed in the virtual reality. They are allured to copy violence, crimes, terrorism and sex in the daily life without effective instructions.
In our text, What Will Be, though the author gave us much more explanations of the benefits of the information age, we still should be alert. Because in the view of philosophy, whenever a new technology appears, we just pay much more attention to its’ positive aspects and ignore its’ negative crisis. So it’s time for us to level the crisis of information age and keep it healthy. |
